Delicious Peace Grows in a Ugandan Coffee Bean is a short film with a long title that tells a most inspiring and important tale. Created by the nonprofit film production firm Jemglo ––– the same folks that created Safeguarding Memory –––– the documentary is narrated by Ed O’Neill and chronicles the story of the Peace Kawomera Growers Co-Op.
Poetic, lyrical and deeply moving, Delicious Peace is the kind of film that needs to be seen to be realized. While far too many films focus on the darkness of society and the plight of the common man, Delicious Peace points towards something hopeful, inspiring and revelatory. In short, it’s just the kind of tonic needed for a world marred by darkness and despair. In under 40 minutes, this film makes it apparent that despite circumstances, something profound and prominent can truly blossom. A true gem of a film.
