After an ephemeral two-year run that ended awkwardly and without announcement, Unsolved Mysteries was canned from the Spike network. Browsing through TV channels today, it appears that the one-time must-see program has resurfaced on Lifetime, airing from 3-5 on weekdays. Using the same format that appeared on Spike –––– Dennis Farina as host, reworked graphics, reworked theme song and updates on old cases –––– the show is back on television for an undisclosed amount of time. Can it last? Is it ancient history? For the freaks like me, who absolutely adore the show, this is most welcome good news. And if it means sitting through commercials for Vagisil and Snuggle sheets, so be it.
EDIT: According to Unsolved.com, the show premiered on Lifetime in late August, which makes this post roughly three weeks too late. Sorry, I’m only human!

Danielle added these pithy words on Feb 01 11 at 3:01 amI am an Unsolved Mysteries junkie as well and since I loved Robert Stack, I make sure to catch it on Lifetime. Although Dennis Farina is now hosting it, I still enjoy it. I work and subscribe to DISH Network so I make sure I watch it in HD so that I get the best viewing pleasure possible.
