It occurs to me that I’m completely out of the loop on new music: I’ve heard exactly zero of albums you mention in the entire post.

I’ve been meaning to pick up the new David Rawlings disc, and the Avett Bros, too, but haven’t yet…

The new Avett Brothers is awesome. That should probably insert itself into the Top 10 at some point, I just haven’t given it enough listens to say it deserves that. The new Justin Townes Earle disc is awesome too. As for Rawlings, had no idea he was releasing new stuff. Get out from under your rock! The music world needs you!
